Market Rasen Racecourse

The course that is based in the rural town of Market Rasen is the only racecourse in Lincolnshire. It is an undulating right handed national hunt course that is one mile and 2 furlongs in circumference.

Market Rasen racecourse holds 19 race meetings annually with one of the highlights being the Summer Hurdle Handicap which is a listed race held in July the same day as the totesport.com Summer Plate Handicap Chase. These races are two of the most valuable summer races in the National Hunt calendar.

During the winter months it also runs a left handed point to point course which is set out on the inside of the national hunt course.

Tony McCoy and Richard Johnson both do well here as do trainers Jonjo O“Neill and Nigel Twiston-Davies.
