Clonmel racecourse has been a popular venue for over 150 years as racegoers continue to enjoy the racing from Powerstown Park.  Not far away from Cork, Killarney and Limerick, Clonmel racecourse can attract some big field for its race meetings and giving the general public some quality action.

A tough national hunt course Clonmel is a right-handed track of one-and-a-quarter miles which has an undulating look to it.  Stiff uphill climbs are twinned with downhill parts to make it a thorough test of stamina.

A busy racecourse during the Autumn and Winter Clonmel's major race of the whole racing calendar is the Clonmel Oil Chase, which is two miles and four furlongs long.  It's illustrious roll of honour has seen such winners as Dorans Pride, Beef or Salmon and War of Attrition.
