Ballinrobe racecourse is one of the oldest courses in Ireland as racing dates back to the mid 1700s, but since that era the racing has taken part from an array of locations.

The only racecourse in County Mayo, it has now been at its current location just a mile from the town centre since 1921, where it has hosted some top horse racing action.

Ballinrobe is a dual purpose track hosting both national hunt and flat fixtures all year round, which add to the friendly atmosphere of the racecourse.

The course is a right-handed oval track just over a mile long which is slightly elevated.  Even though Ballinrobe holds no Graded races, it still attracts decent crowds on racedays with a good local feel being a welcoming addition to all the meetings.
