Punters Get Ready For Cheltenham Festival

With only a day to go until the Cheltenham Festival kicks off punters will be scouring the form guys as they look for those all-important winners throughout the week and the National Hunt extravaganza is sure to provide a host of thrills and spills in what is a sensational week of jumps racing.

The opening day will kick off with a flurry of Graded races and the feature event will see Faugheen aim to maintain his unbeaten record when taking on the likes of Hurricane Fly, Jezki and The New One in the Champion Hurdle for what is a cracking first day showpiece.

Douvan will be aiming to get favourite backers off to the perfect start and he will go for glory in the William Hill Supreme Novices' Hurdle, whilst Un De Sceaux in the Arkle Trophy and Annie Power in the Mares' Hurdle are just another brace of top notch runners lining up from the Emerald Isle.

Day two of the meeting will see the return of Sprinter Sacre to the festival and he will lock horns with Sire De Grugy in a fascinating Queen Mother Champion Chase, whilst Don Poli will be a key figure in the RSA Chase on another cracking day at Prestbury Park.

The Ladbrokes World Hurdle is a wide open race and Zarkandar and Saphir Du Rheu are a couple of stars that will go for staying glory, whilst the final day will see the elite staying chasers do battle in the Cheltenham Gold Cup with Silviniaco Conti aiming to get his head in front for the first time, whilst AP McCoy will ride Carlingford Lough in the big race, as he aims to bow out with festival glory.
