Notable Race Wins:-

Ascot Stakes: 2010

Kim Muir Challenge Cup: 2011

Junior is certainly a flexible character as throughout his career he has mixed both codes and has the glorious achievement of winning at race at Royal Ascot and at the Cheltenham Festival.

Having stormed to victory in the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting he then returned to the national hunt game and was backed off the boards in the 2011 Kim Muir Challenge Cup and he duly sauntered to success by a staggering 24 lengths.

His versatility has been his attribute throughout his career, so no doubt the 2011/2012 season will be a lively one with the ultimate goal possibly being the Grand National at Aintree.

Pipe eluded after his victory at Cheltenham that they may embark on a Grand National campaign for this season and the Pond House handler has said that his jumping and stamina shouldn't be a problem.

If Pipe can get his eight-year-old back to the track in fine fettle then this could be an exciting year for the gelding, who is certainly one to watch during the season and especially if he lines up for the Grand National in April.

Form for 2011/2012 Season

  • 17/02/12 - Betfair Supports Walking With The Wounded Handicap Hurdle - Newbury (8th of 15 - SP 10/1) - A pleasing reappearance, Junior stayed up with the pace for the early parts of the contest, but struggled to go with some quicker rivals in the closing stages.  However, it was a perfect race to brush away the cobwebs and he could now head for the Cheltenham Gold Cup before heading to the Grand National.
